What is online therapy?


Online hypnotherapy is exactly the same as face-to-face therapy. The only difference is the location. Only you can decide which is the better option for you.
Online hypnosis sessions take place in your own home. They are a safe and convenient solution for many people who, either for personal or medical reasons, such as mobility issues, cannot have face-to-face sessions.
My Solution Focused hypnotherapy works, whether we are in the same room or not.
That’s because clinical hypnotherapy relies on your relationship with me as your online hypnotherapist and the connection I make with your subconscious mind to identify negative thought patterns and effect positive changes.

What do I need for an online hypnotherapy session?


There are several things you need for hypnotherapy online to be effective.
A computer (either a laptop or desktop is fine) or smartphone that has good quality camera and sound.
A reliable internet connection. If your internet signal is weak or regularly intermittent, it can be disruptive to your online hypnosis work.
It’s important to replicate the calm, comfortable environment of my clinic in your own home. Find a room or where you are unlikely to be disturbed during online sessions.
Make sure you turn off your smartphone or smart speakers to ensure they don’t interrupt your online therapy.
Using a quality pair of headphones will help you be fully immersed during online hypnotherapy but don’t worry if you don’t own a pair, we can still carry out the session without the use of headphones.
What happens during an online hypnotherapy session?


Every session I offer, whether in person or via online hypnotherapy, begins with a free initial chat via Zoom.
This consultation lasts around 25 minutes and I use it to gather information about you, your goals and what you want to achieve from hypnotherapy, to build a treatment plan.
After this initial consultation, we will book your online hypnotherapy sessions. The number you need will depend on the issues being treated.
What does online hypnosis feel like?
The hypnotic state is different for everyone but most people describe it as a little like daydreaming.
This is why it’s important to have a quiet, calm space for online hypnotherapy, so you are in a relaxed state from the first session to the last.
Being in the hypnotic state is perfectly natural. This trance-like state is one we enter many times throughout the day. Despite what you might see on stage, you never lose control during in-person or online hypnotherapy.
During your online sessions, I will use solution focused hypnosis and positive suggestions to embed your goals within your unconscious mind.
